WASTE-TO-ENERGY: ENERGY RECOVERY AS AN ENVIRONMENTALLY APPROPRIATE FORM FOR THE DISPOSAL OF URBAN SOLID WASTE
The present work crowned the foundation of the Brazilian Association for the Energy Recovery of Waste (ABREN), of which the author is the Executive President, and which, although recently founded, the Association already presents relevant works and results for the sector, in addition to assuming great importance. responsibility for implementing a regulatory framework for waste-to-energy energy recovery technologies in Brazil.

The challenge faced in his master's thesis was approached in a unique way by the author, who intelligently proposes the formulation of a public policy for better waste management, using Regulatory Impact Analysis (AIR) and the environmental governance called Sustainable Management Integrated Waste Management (GSIR), aiming to present proposals to ensure sustainability and a balanced environment for future generations. His work is aimed at all public policy makers, lawyers, businessmen, administrators, engineers (electrical, civil, environmental) and all solid waste managers and scholars in general.
