Satellites detect large methane emissions from Madrid landfills
High-resolution satellites have detected 8800 kg of methane per hour leaking from adjacent landfill sites just 18 km from the centre of Madrid, Spain.

Using data from the Copernicus Sentinel-5P mission combined with GHGSat’s high-resolution commercial imagery.
Landfills are the biggest threat on planet earth with its toxic methane emissions responsible of the global warming, if we want to keep it bellow 1.5°C, we need to ban landfills, if no actions... the HOUSE IS ON FIRE!!!!
