Reda Kabbaj is a Vice President, International Relations with the Global WtERT Council (GWC), a top-tier technical group focused on the recovery of energy and materials from post-recycling waste. He is leading research projects of Waste-to-Energy-and-Water, Using Waste-to-Energy (WtE) to meet water and energy challenges in Morocco also the generation of hydrogen from WtE to fuel MSW collection trucks and support Canada's plan for-zero emissions by 2050 within the Earth Engineering Center as Research Associate. As Co-Chair of WtERT-Canada, he founded the Canadian Chapter hosted at Concordia University in Montreal to introduce Waste-to-Energy technologies to help phase out landfills, as well as developing the Chapter in collaboration with universities, the private and public sector to achieve that goal.
Mr Kabbaj brings 12 years of experience in Finance, Audit and Management, He has worked with clients across a range of industries and SME including banking, Insurance, hospitality, Real Estate and Mining.
Previously, Mr. Kabbaj collaborated with Tetra Tech Inc.(NASDAQ : TTK) a leading provider of consulting and engineering services worldwide, as independent contractor by completing the initial phase of pre-feasibility studies of Waste-to-Energy plants with capacity of 1,500 and 3,000 tons per day respectively of municipal solid waste for two cities in Morocco.
He advanced and promoted the Energy Service Company (ESCO) model toward industry and policymakers with Swedish Partners, with the objective to provide clean electricity to industries (retail buildings, hotels, hospitals, and service stations) from photovoltaic installations without any need for investments from the client. ESCO assumed 100% responsibility for investment, design, procurement, permitting, operation, and maintenance.
Mr. Kabbaj earned a master’s degree in Accounting Control and Audit from Business School of Clermont in France and completed his postgraduate courses in the University of Oklahoma in USA. Mr. Kabbaj is fluent in French, English and Arabic.
